“When Mother’s are healthy and well, so then are their families. When families are healthy and well, so then is the community. Healthy and well communities are the best way we can responsibly tend to Mother Earth.”
Rachelle Garcia Seliga, founder of Innate Traditions
Birth Doula
As your birth doula I am here to support you prenatally, during your birth and postpartum.
We will meet prenatally to fortify our connection, support you in navigating anything coming up in your pregnancy, discuss and practice with you and your partner ways to prepare for birth and postpartum.
During your birth I will be your side to support you through the entire process into the immediate postpartum. My support can look many different ways depending on your personal needs and the ebb and flow of the birth process. I may be very hands on with physical comfort measures, direct mental and emotional support, speaking up as an advocate for your desires. In other moments I may be more of a benevolent witness, protecting your sacred space and making sure you feel safe to fully surrender into your body and experience.
Postpartum I will follow up with in-home visits to support your integration, healing and bonding as a new family.
Insurance packages with OHP & MODA include continuous labor support and 8 total prenatal & postpartum visits.
Out of pocket packages start at $1500 for continuous labor support with 3 prenatals and 3 postpartum visits.
Postpartum Doula
Traditional cultures worldwide have honored the first 40 days postpartum as a sacred time for rest, recovery and preventative care. A ‘lying in period’ where the mother is cared for by her community- physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Without the support of the intact village life, it is on us Mothers to know what we need and ask for it. But what do I really need postpartum? How will I make that happen? I am here to help.
As your postpartum doula I offer education, resources and in-home, hands-on care. Prenatally, we will discuss the pillars of postpartum care and how we can put a plan in place to meet your needs in this delicate and transformative time.
My postpartum sessions include gentle bodywork including belly and womb massage, breast feeding support, herbal offerings for your recovery and nourishment, emotional space holding, holding your baby and caring for older children while you tend to yourself, light housework, meal prep and more.
